Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. John Coyne
Dr. John Coyne has been practicing veterinary medicine for 50 years. He attended the University of Illinois for both his undergraduate studies and veterinary school, graduating in 1974.
Growing up on a livestock farm in Pontiac, Illinois, Dr. Coyne knew from a young age that he wanted to become a veterinarian. Over the course of his long and successful career, he has served as a primary or associate owner of many high-volume animal hospitals throughout the Midwest.
Dr. Coyne has been married to his wife, Ruth, for 50 years. Together they have two daughters and four grandchildren. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys cheering on Chicago and Illini sports teams and watching his grandchildren participate in their many activities.
Dr. Charles McCully
Dr. Charles McCully graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science, with a minor in Chemistry, from Illinois State University.
Dr. McCully grew up on a farm in Lacon, Illinois, and is a third-generation veterinarian. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their children, Kyle and Sam.
He also has three Labrador Retrievers named Daisy, Rudy, and Ralph.
